The purpose of this workshop is to provide a platform for young scientists to learn knowledge and experience hands-on practices. In addition, it is an excellent opportunity to meet internationally well recognized scholars in remote sensing to share their valuable experiences and knowledge with young scientists. There were presentations of Professors from Taiwan, Korea, Japan about “Space development, remote sensing satellite program" to introduce Remote Sensing technology application in monitoring marine environment, air, agriculture, fishing vesselts, and disaster.

During the workshop, Mr Nguyễn Văn Hùng, Head of Divison of Remote Sensing Infrastructure - NRSD with young scientists from Vietnam had a meeting with Professor – Academician Yuei-An Liou to exchange views on issues related to remote sensing training and technology transfer.  This Head of  Remote sensing and Hydrological Research Division, Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research, National Central University, Taiwan is also one of 5 best scientists in Obscure radio. Academician Yuei-An Liou has published over 100 SCI articles in prestigious journals in the field of Remote Sensing, GPS and Atmospheric Sciences. Academician Yuei-An Liou has held many important positions such as President of Taiwan GIS Center (09/2014 - 09/2016); Director of Centre for Space Research and Remote Sensing of the National Taiwan University (08/2007 - 07/2010) and the Association honorary chairman of Taiwan Earth Observation (TGEOexchanged views on issues related to training and technology transfer between the remote sensing of mutual interest. Professor - An academician Yuei-Liou also gladly accepted the invitation of supporting and training of human resources for National Remote Sensing Department staffs.
