The 4th ASEAN Workshop on Ground Station Experts Exchange in Singapore, 30 - 31 August 2016

​NRSD's delegation to attend the  4th ASEAN Workshop on Ground Station Experts Exchange, was held from 29th - 31st August 2016, in Singapore. The Workshop was organized by Centre for Remote Imaging, Sensing and Processing (CRISP) under National University of Singapore.


 

The objectives of the Workshop are:
  • Exchange of experiences on the operation and maintenance of remote sensing ground station;
  • Exchange of experiences in Earth Observation System development and utilization of satellite image data;
  • Promote co-operative projects for sharing satellite image data and facilities.

    The Workshop had attracted 20 scientist and experts who were represented ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Philipine, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

     
     During the Workshop program, the participants visited CRISP and Satellite System which belongs to ST Electronics. CRISP is leading organization in processing and application of remote sensing image data in Singapore. CRISP is capable to acquire and process many type of image data such as SPOT, ERS 1,2, RADARSAT 1, SeaWiFS, TERRA (MODIS), IKONOS; AQUA (MODIS); GeoEye-1; Worldview I & II; XSAT,…
