International Workshop on Geo-informatics Technology for Environmental and Disaster Monitoring in Thailand

​From October 28-30, 2015, NRSD group including Mr. Chu Hai Tung - Deputy General Director and Mr Nghiem Van Tuan – Head of Science and International Relations Division attended International Workshop on Geo-informatics Technology for Environmental and Disaster Monitoring in Thailand. This workshop was held by Geo-informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), at Sirindhorn Center for Geo-informatics (SCGI) located in Space Krenovation Park, Chonburi province, Thailand


The workshop delegates​ 

Purposes of the workshop were to introduce the application of remote sensing technology for sustainable development; which focuses primarily on the exploitation and utilization of CBERS-04 satellite data. This workshop had attracted 30 researchers from the ASEAN countries and neighboring countries, are studying and working in natural resource management, environmental and natural disasters.


Also in the workshop program, delegation from NRSD had a chance to visite Space Krenovation Park, which is a new 20 ha space technology complex in Thailand. This complex includes Earth observation satellite researching; Earth observation satellite operating system; Research and development of remote sensing technology application; Training on the application of remote sensing technology for the ASEAN region.
